Giving Back & Getting Involved.

This March, we’re giving back to those who need it most with four weeks of fundraising, special events, and community support. Each week, we’ll be donating proceeds from selected food and drink sales to incredible causes, including Prostate Cancer research, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Leukaemia Foundation, and the Terry Knowles Fundraiser. Plus, we’re hosting The Greatest Shave Event on March 16th and a Kids Disco on March 15th, making it fun for the whole family to get involved. We’re also wrapping up the month with a Sporting Sponsorship Night on March 29th, celebrating local teams with live music from Jemma Beech.

Fundraising Events & How To Donate

    1st - 7th March: Prostate Cancer Fundraiser

    Let’s raise our glasses for a great cause! 🍻 This week, $1 from every Great Northern sold will be donated to support Prostate Cancer research and awareness. Grab your mates, enjoy an ice-cold beer, and help us make a difference one sip at a time. Every drink counts—so come down, enjoy, and support this important cause! 💙

    8th - 14th March: National Breast Cancer Foundation

    15th - 21st March: Leukaemia Foundation & The Greatest Shave Event

    This week, we’re standing with the Leukaemia Foundation to help fight blood cancer. $5 from every Kids Meal sold will go directly to supporting those affected. Plus, we’re taking it a step further with The Greatest Shave Event on Sunday 16th March at 1pm—come down, donate, and watch brave participants shave for the cause! Every little bit helps, so bring the family, enjoy a meal, and show your support! ❤️

    22nd - 28th March: Terry Knowles Fundraiser

    This week, we’re rallying behind Terry Knowles, who was recently diagnosed with Burgess Disease and has become an amputee. We’re accepting all donations to support Terry, and we’re also running a raffle with $2 tickets, with all proceeds going directly to help him through this difficult time. Every bit of support matters—let’s come together as a community and show Terry we’ve got his back! ❤️

    Saturday 15 March - Kids Twilight Disco

    Let the kids dance for a cause at our Kids Disco on Saturday, 15th March from 3-7PM with DJ Matrix spinning all their favourite tunes! 🎶 Come dressed as “When I Grow Up” for the chance to win great prizes, enjoy fun games, and tuck into delicious food.     Join us on Sunday, 16th March at 1pm for The World’s Greatest Shave at The Cooee Hotel!     Saturday 29th March - Sporting Sponsorship Night

    We’re celebrating local sports at The Cooee Hotel! 🏆 On Saturday, 29th March, represent your team and get a drink on arrival, then enjoy an epic night with Jemma Beech performing live from 7PM! As a proud supporter of many local sporting organisations, we’re throwing a night to honour our teams, players, and everyone who makes local sport great.
